Unable to download Windows 8- "We can't connect right now"

Hi guys, as the title suggests I am unable to download Windows 8 media via the provided Microsoft setup. I have contacted Microsoft on multiple occasions with multiple agents connecting to my computer via a remote connection and have been unable to fix the problem. They had the cheek to offer me a £65 Guaranteed Fix which from what I saw with the technicians put me right off.

Upon giving the licence key I have to Microsoft agents, everyone stated that my key was fine, with no problems. Once I enter my key I get "We can't connect right now. Please check your internet connection and try again.". The ironic thing is, my internet connection is fine and the license key apparently checks out ok. It's really frustrating not being able to download the Windows 8 media nor find an alternative direct download like Windows 7 from Digital River.

Again, I have a legitimate key so I can't see what the problem is. My time/date has been set multiple times via the internet so I can't see this being an issue. I've tried to download, not activate to be clear, via another machine and I am given the same error. Every technician has tried a cold boot with services and applications disabled. I have provided a screenshot for further support.

What site address said "a £65 Guaranteed Fix" . I am not aware of a Microsoft site that does that? Ditto - to what "Microsoft agents", did you give the licence key ? To what purpose, and why, are you constantly resetting the time and date.

Don't worry I didn't get involved with scam "Microsoft Agents". These are the tech agents I was forwarded to via Microsoft themselves. They asked for the key to provide it's authenticity and to see if it was valid. As I said in my post, Microsoft offer the £65 fix so I was told by the agent on the phone. Again, genuine microsoft support agents.

Many people have told me to try setting the date/time correctly to see if it budges.
