Solved Unable to delete partion

The OS must be at the beginning of a partition to merge with another. That is why merging C and E worked. However, you cannot merge C with D without some heavy-duty partition magic. Now, there are some 3rd party utilities out there that could possibly do that for you; however, by the time you download and install them, you could have been done a clean install. That's a no-go on the D and C merge as it stands right now.

Could you please suggest some 3rd party utilities and execution steps for make merging?

whats your recommendation? should I reload win 8 again? its take only 15 to 20 min..

Reinstall windows again please. Do a clean install per the link I provided earlier. Important: When you get to the part where your drive is shown, select "delete" until your drive is shown as 100% unallocated. At this point, simply hit NEXT and Win 8 will build a new partition structure for you. What you will see after the install is a 350MB System Reserved Partition and the remaining space will be allocated to C. Once done, then you can worry about creating any new partitions. I have about 1 hour left before football starts...

Please do not attempt any additional partition structure during the install. You can deal with the creation of additional partitions via disk management afterwards.

I have installed fresh version in my netbook after my dinner..

Below is my new disk:-



I want to reserve 50GB for my C drive and remaining 250GB I want to divide by 3 (83*3). Is it possible..? then which is the best way to partition.. Would you be kind enough to guide me the same..

To have more than 3 primary partitions, you need to install in UEFI mode, than you could have over 100 primary partitions, with C: no less than 100gb.

I believe that Theog is providing an advisement but I don't think it is a steadfast requirement because I have everything on a 60GB SSD; however, my Win 8 installation (customized) only takes up about 16GBs but I have encountered installations that "keep growing" after installation and this happens primarily due to a lack of maintenance in specific areas. Moreover, I have encountered installations that have exceeded 50GBs, and in some rare cases, I have seen installations exceed 100GBs as well.
