Trivia: The "Other" File Explorer

Mine opens the libraries? This is odd, in my case, as I have the taskbar shortcut modded to open C:\

P.S. Later. Forget it. It was caused by a default setting in my third party start menu (StartisBack). I adjusted it and it now opens as selected - C:\

Depends on how your navigation pane is configured.

What 'adjustment' did you make. I want to fix mine............

If you're reaching for that Windows key anyway... then instead of <Windows>+X, using <WindowsKey>+E takes you straight to File Explorer, and it seems to start with Computer as well rather than Libraries.

Even unselecting all those Navigation Pane options it seems to do the same for me every time,

Sorry. I thought I posted yesterday but cannot see it. Anyway:
I have my normal default File explorer configured like this
C:\Windows\explorer.exe /e, C:\
That takes me to the root and shows me the Windows 8 tree.
I found this setting in "StartisBack"

Under the heading "Modern UI", scroll down to the last item, "Combine start button context menu....etc", an tick it.

Worked for me.
