Hello all, i'm posting this thread in regards to trying to understand if there are any consequences in my use of the 7zip console application. I have no idea what it is, or what it does.
In the spur of the moment, when I wanted to use 7zip to extract a particular set of modular files for a game I played (and not knowing how to use 7zip in the first place) I mistakenly activated the 7zip console application. A console prompt flashed up for a split second, I do not believe there was anything within the prompt, but then again I cannot sure.
So, to sum it all up, can anyone tell me whether or not my clumsy actions have caused any permanent damage to my machine? This is my first time using 7zip (as I really only relied on Winrar to manage my mods) so I wasn't too careful with what I was doing and ended up utilizing a function I had not meant to start. Is the console harmless, does it mess with my registry, is nothing damaged, no hidden adverse effects, or anything?
I realize things like this are really trivial, but when it comes to the well-being of my computing devices, I'm rather quite nervous.
So if anyone can give me an answer at all, I'd really appreciate it.
Thank You in Advance.
