Windows Media Player still can't do gapless playback of FLAC files. I own a fairly expensive DAC so, to me, it's a "PEBCAD" (Problem Exists Between Computer And DAC).
windows already has an app that plays all my music its called windows media player lol
don't see the need to download anything to just do the samething
because some people want their music player to do more than just play music. if we just wanted MP3 playback, we could've stuck to the music player in Windows 3.11.
And I want more with my audio playback, I want it to look pretty and immersive when I leave my music playing when I'm not in the room or doing whatever.
Windows Media Player does not.
Zune does, but the problem with Zune was that it took a LOT of system resource to run. Music Info doesn't.

I was just giving you a hard time. When I am listening to music, it's always an app in the background which is minimized. I don't see the point it looking at it. I don't look at my CD Player or amplifier while it's playing music.
When your posts seem more reasonable and down to earth to me. You and I just seem to value very different things. You seem more into fit and finish, and I'm all about functionality.
Hi there
getting back on track -- Foobar 2000 is fine too - but I'm sticking with Winamp -- doesn't matter where the music is stored -- even on a micro sd card in your phone -- or you can sync the music (Flac files) on the phone and play in winamp.
The whole Folders idea and not having to set up playlists is what I need plus a decent equaliser and FLAC playing. If other applications can do this --then fine -- like pparks1 if I have music when I'm at a computer then the music app is playing in the background -- I don't need pictures / graphic equaliser displays etc etc -- I'm WORKING not playing "Make believe D.J" in a "Virtual Studio.
(Most of the time I find music when I'm at a computer working rather distracting especially if I'm making a presentation / working on a complex spread sheet or running complex post processing in photoshop-- I'm probably in a minority of ONE here but I like REALLY listening to music in its own right and not having it as "Background Musical wallpaper).

1) No FLAC
2) No proper equalizer
3) Won't play music via a streaming device
Still since most people are satisfied with the sheer cacophony that results by playing at highly distorted volumes severely compressed mp3 files through those (especially the white ones) bud earphones which seem to yield MORE NOISE to everybody except the actual wearer Win media player is probably OK.
As you say -- each to their own -- but I really wish it was each to their own -- nothing worse than sitting in a Metro train or other public transport vehicle with 200 sets of tinny bzzz bzzz types of sounds emanating from zombified looking people wearing these wretched things.
i uninstalled myself ,to much wrong info of my songs i have on computer ans wmp works just fine for playing my music ,i can do with out the other features of the App
