Text not showing on certain buttons and in some programs.

Hello! I am running Windows 8.1 and have recently ran into an issue where text is not showing on certain programs and in critical buttons such as:

• Webroot
• Foxit Reader
• Revo Uninstaller
• Certain popup messages from the tray

I have a two year old who was possibly playing with my keyboard and mouse, so it's possible a setting may have changed.

HEre's what I've tried:

• Updating my graphics driver
• Right clicking on desktop, going to personalize, and ensuring I'm using a windows theme.
• Attempted to scan for viruses, but can't really see the necessary buttons on webroot.

I'm at a loss of what to try next.

Graphics driver would have nothing to do that. You can try and go to a System Restore point, before this happened. I suggest from now on, when you walk away. Press Windows Key "L" to lock the workstation. Also Best buy does not have the rights to any of that software like Webroot they installed. Their version sends info about your computer back to their data servers.
