No, my personal ASUS M-series motherboard (haven't got a clue of the model series off the top of my head as I feel too lazy at the moment) doesn't support Secure Boot as it's from the year of 2010, maybe late 2009.
Several other ASUS boards I've worked with from 2011 supported Secure Boot and ran UEFI BIOS. I've just recently learned how to get Windows 8 installed in that situation correctly.

There should be a setting in your motherboard UEFI BIOS to disable Secure Boot.

That would not be possible. If you want to figure out what's causing the slow boot, you could use a tool like Acronis (for beginners) or grab / install the Windows Performance Toolkit and use wprui to take a boot trace (somewhat more advanced).

I tried this but no change.
I used the Windows Performance Toolkit to do a boot trace but not sure how to interpret the results.

If you used the WPT to take a boot trace, the .ETL file can be analyzed to see what's happening. However, you'll have to zip or rar it up and put it on a file sharing site for someone to look at it.

Oh, and it boots pretty fast for its age, and a spinning disk. The reboot script took 76 seconds.
