Solved Suddenly not finding any networks

Did your machine come with Windows 7 or vista?

Could you uninstall the wireless LAN card device from device manager and then install this driver - Original Ralink Wireless Networking Controller Driver - HP Pavilion p6674y Desktop PC | HP® Support

This could be because the driver was intended for Windows 7. HP don't offer a driver for Windows 8 themselves.

If you can I would plug the machine in via ethernet and update the device driver through device manager. This may require you temporarily moving your machine

The only other alternative I can think off is to complete a repair install and see if that corrects the issue since you did receive a working connection after installation. Your user files should be retained however if you can backup your data just in case

OK, UPDATE. I couldn't get an Ethernet connection to my computer, I basically just moved my router and it started working, but Im not getting any other networks and I'm getting a really weak (2 bars) wifi signal, its working now, though. I just hope that when I move it back everything went go down the toilet. I jumped for joy when it worked, IM A FRIGGIN' ADDICT.

Unless you are very far away or you have a lot of walls between your machine and router this may be an indication of a faulty or dying wireless card. If so then the only way to fix would be to replace the card itself. If you wish to simply post back here and I'll pose some possible options for you

Yeah, I think my wireless card is dying. I moved it back and it couldn't connect to anything. This is frustrating.
