Steve Ballmer's Nightmare Is Coming True

It's not what I want. It's what I think is going to happen in the next 3 to 4 years. I know it's highly speculative. But the arguments in the Yahoo article about the downfall of Microsoft are also highly speculative. Just trying to make a point here ;-).

Yes the article is clearly stupid. Every paragraph negate the title in bold letters above it. Better leave the page blank.
But if MS is still far from suffering nightmare, it's clear that they are repeating mistakes.
And that's because they are tone deaf to critics and users'comment on the forums.
Should they listen more to the public, they would make more money with less investments.
Instead they throw money -hundreds of million of $- to stuffs they are alone to believe it will work.
W8 is not generating as much money as previous new versions of Windows and has cost way more in developement. And that's normal. If some poeple do like the new Metro style and apps, it doesn't meet an existing demand and doesn't create it neither.
And finaly with W8 and their attempt to mix everything with their tablet departement, they are loosing consistancy. Therefore they loose credibility, their image as a serious company, costumer base, their brand name.
With W8/Metro they broke their brand name product. Not that it's abad one, but it's not Windows as Windows lover used to love. We got something different, not sure whether it's still Windows or not.
