Sound is very quiet and will change sometimes

Ok first thing is that I've already been looking for a solution through google and I did come across this:

I changed it to what the picture shows and my volume is still very quiet. I've also checked if my drivers were up to date and they were. The strange thing is that when I enter a game in League of Legends, the volume will jump louder or quieter but rarely will stay the same.

The volume level of a maxed out youtube video is:

I have a hard time hearing people over skype even when its maxed out on volume too. I don't know why its so quiet and why sometimes it spikes louder when I open a game. Anyone have any ideas?

Under "speaker properties" / enhancements, there should be "Loudness Equalization check box, try with that.

I guess you'll need some proper drivers for sound then. What computer is that ?, check at manufacturer's site for newer drivers.

So, did you try to disable all sound effects ?.
