Software to locate THIS particular file on my computer

Hi,

for my laptop I am on the lookout for software that I can feed a file to (for instance drag and drop) after which it will search for other locations of this file. Duplicate file finders are not so handy, since they compare folders rather than THIS file versus all other files. Does anyone have a lead to go by?

FileSeek, free or pro, will search for file on the whole HD, whole partition, or within a specified parent-folder. I haven't tried the drag and drop method.

Auslogics Duplicate File Finder compares files and not folders???

just make sure to check the "ignore file names" and "ignore file dates"
