Smart phones getting smarter.

The 1.6bn or so existing users should be buying the 320m or so pc's with 8 on them .

Those users should be driving the tablet and phone sales.

MS have made a mess of it.

The 320m aren't biting, and MS have been trying to go head on against the established tablet players - without that massive support.

If they have any sense the point of Blue will be to get those existing users back with them , and to get the rt thing to run on low cost 7 inchers.

Even then , they are playing catch up.

Well, the Octo-core is really a quad-core because only 4 cores work at any given time. There is a low energy set of 4 cores for less demanding tasks and 4 high energy cores for very demanding tasks. That is supposed to stretch the the up hours on battery.
