Solved Samsung laptop running windows 8 wont turn on

so last night i did a factory reset and of course it took all night but in the morning when i checked it it was off so when i pressed the power button it appeared to be starting up a usual then suddenly the screen lust like faded to black but it was still on and this lust repeats itself the samsung logo comes up it appears to be loading then it all just goes black.

i would try the factory reset again ,also it should not have taken all night ,it should take not much more than 1-2 hrs to do the reset

no i do not have a repair dvd. But that is good advice thank you.

How should i do another factory reset and yeah it took like 10 mins to get to 1% so something is really wrong then

same way you did the first one ,unless you deleted the factory recovery partition after you did the first one

He no longer can startup normally and doesn't have a system repair disc to even try doing a reset from there.

Yeah i just had to reset to default boot options then it restarted likr normal but thanks anyway.

i know that but in there first post they said and i quote,=so last night i did a factory reset and - end qoute .so if they should be able to do that aging ,if needed

I think you are right ,
it might be time for me to update my terminology's,factory rest[win8 rest ] and factory restore [computer restore from factory image partition ]
again im sorry
