So basically I would like to start off by saying I messed up bad and I don't think this is fixable. I wanted to reset my computer on windows 8.1 and it said insert a windows media key so I did and it started to reset at first fine then I decided I no longer needed the disc so I ejected the disc whilst it was resetting. After that I tried booting it back and it said, diagnosing your PC, starting repairs after this It would load a screen which says 'Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC' 'Log filr D:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt', from here I'm given the option to go into advanced options and reset again this time round when I insert the disc it says it is not valid. I tried booting up from the disc and its telling me to reinstall windows and type the windows 8 key but I don't have one my computer came pre set with windows 8 installed and a disc, so I cancelled out of the install and clicked 'repair your computer' again it gives me the option to reset I click reset and i'm given another error which says 'unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing'.
My friend recommended me to post my issue on here for a solution however I really hope I don't have to buy another windows 8 key because at the moment I don't have a job and need my computer working I have no clue what to do and I'm very worried if this will ever be fixed.
Thanks in advance!
