Remove Write Protect on USB

This just happened to me recently , I am unable to drag or delete files on the usb, any idea how this can be fixed?, I tried the registry method, didn't work.

Sorry to say bot it's one of first signs that is on the way out. Try some partitioning program on it and if that does not work, it's "bin time ".

try formatting the drive and see if changes first before you toss it

Here, try this, while the USB key is not attached (need to specify to use as Admin).

Use -u switch for it to be used just for USB Mass Storage devices and nothing else. (See included instructions for more detail.)

Anything currently attached remains unaffected.

A really good other use for it is when you have a stubborn key that you know works well with Readyboost, but Windows decides it doesn't want to accept it any longer.

Tried formatting it , wouldn't allow me, "The disk is write protected"
