The 39.99 Download... Will I be able to put that version on a CD and do a fresh install of windows 8 from that with a new product code and everything...

OR

Could the 69.99 version that they mail to you do that.

Thanks.

They're supposed to be exactly the same.

You have options for the download version. You can choose to create an .iso (disk image), which can be used to burn a DVD. I think that you can have the download directly written to a USB dreive or a DVD, but I preferred the .iso.

So this comes with a product key for a new computer with no windows attached to it.

You get the key emailed to you when you purchase. Sign up for the $15 offer though, lie, and get Win 8 Pro for $15. That's how I upgraded 3 systems. Well worth it.

No, it's an upgrade license. I have seen no work-arounds yet on the Web that would allow it to be installed and activated on a blank drive.

The system builder license is not yet available fro download, as far as I know. it is only available at retail. It's a lot more expensive ($140 list for Pro, I think.)
