Problems with all games on Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Hello,

I'm having problems with all games on Windows 8.1 pro 64-bit.
Games like GTA IV, Battlefield 4, DayZ Standalone, MW2,BO2, cod4, Planetside 2 etc. , so really, all games I play.
The problem is, it randomly goes to the desktop and won't go back, and 20 seconds later it's not responding.
It can take one minute after starting the game, or one hour, it just freezes and switches to the desktop. Very frustrating.

I'm running AMD's latest 13.12 drivers (had the problem with other drivers too). Using compabilty mode on some games (like GTA IV). Running no overclocks, and no recording software or what so ever.

Your stated issue is a bit too generic.

For comparisons, I'm running Windows 8.1 and have no gaming issues here - Bioshock Infinite, Mass Effect 2, Skyrim, all sorts of Steam based games. See my system spec's. I'm also using the same AMD drivers as you for my R9-280X card.

With that said have a look at my Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues - Windows 7 Help Forums as it has a lot of tips for troubleshooting game issues, to include link for updating drivers and DirectX files.
