Dear community!

I have problem instaling Windows 8 on my new Lenovo laptop G50-80. I received Lenovo CD with Windows 8, inserted that CD in DVD drive and placed DVD drive as first in boot priority.

The problem which I have is that my Lenovo doesn't load Windows 8, instead it goes every time to FREE DOS. What should I do?

Here are picture of BIOS settings:

If you have a Lenovo IdeaPad (for example, Z50-75 or G50-80) with FreeDOS.

How to clean install Windows 8.1/10 64-bit from USB/DVD.

STEP ONE (if you boot from USB flash drive):

How to create UEFI Boot Mode compatible Windows 8.1/10 64-bit USB flash drive. -> link

STEP TWO:

Lenovo UEFI firmware (BIOS) settings.
- Exit; OS Optimized Defaults: Win8 64bit (default is Other OS)
- Boot; Boot Mode: UEFI (default is Legacy Support)
- Security; Secure Boot: Enabled

STEP THREE:

You do not need to change the boot order of drives in your UEFI firmware (BIOS) settings.
- Connect your Windows 8.1/10 USB flash drive (Note: FAT32 file system) or insert your Windows 8.1/10 DVD.
- Shut down your laptop.
- Find the small NOVO button on left side of your laptop near the power cord point.
- Press the NOVO button. The system loads boot options.
- Select the BOOT MENU option.
- Select your USB/DVD from the boot menu.
- (If you boot from DVD): Press a key when you see "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD".

STEP FOUR:

On the Where do you want to install Windows? screen, you'll need to delete all of the partitions. Select a partition and click on the "Delete" option for each partition.
