my laptop came with windows 8.1 but last month i accidentally ran kmspico and activated my windows. now after 1mo i got a message that i need to activate my windows. I can't personalize my windows and i get a "windows 8.1 single language build 9600" watermark below my desktop
my computer shows not activated and pc settings shows "cannot activate windows right now"
steps i tried:
slmgr -rearm : problem still persists
kmspico: successfully activated my windows but less than 15min later my windows went to not activated again
re-loader: successfully activated my windows.. still under observation right now
anyway to get my windows to the original state? I believe my OS is legit since it came preinstalled. TIA

kmspico is an illegal activation method and the only really safe way to reset everything is a complete reset of your system, the Manufacturer's restore option, although not ideal due to bloat-ware issues and the inevitable update required to windows and apps, is a viable option, (will auto activate with the inbuilt key), or if you have a suitable media for install you could try a clean install using the Key on the case of the system

Do as Barman58 says beforehand to get rid of that exploit (FYI some have reported BSOD's with it - it's really not a good thing)

Then as KYHI says confirm the OEM key and enter that to activate permanently.

Let us know how you get on.
