Out of schedule 'Malicious Software Removal Tool' update.

Haven't seen this mentioned...

I was surprised to see an optional update KB890830 for the Malicious Software Removal Tool, particularly seeing as we are almost at 'patch Tuesday'. In fact I've just looked back at my installed updates and see this KB number is already installed as part of Februarys updates, and there it was classed as important.


Anyone else had it duplicated ?

I got it also as an optional, I installed it. No visible issues or changes.

I've just fired my Vista laptop up and its appeared there too. Be interesting to see if there is another one with tomorrows updates.

Looking more closely and I see that the KB number remains the same for each month so perhaps this really is the March version that has been released out of schedule for some reason. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.
