Solved OUt of date drivers

Its not as risky as it used to be. Dual BIOS and BIOS recovery can bail you out now, if your motherboard has those features. I've flashed motherboards and routers, that's about it though.

Older, socketed BIOS chips, could be removed and reflashed in special EEPROM writer and there's even a trick (and tricky it is) where from live, powerd and OS running you remove BIOS chip, place the dead one, flash it and it would work again. Had to have an identical MB, of course.

Once I had to flash an old, bricked Matrox video card by placing diskette with BIOS and flashing software, boot from it and totally blindly typed commands to flash and it worked. Good old DOS.
Recently, I helped a friend flash his expensive video card using an old PCI GPU to see what we were doing, that worked too but was nerve wracking few minutes. He managed to brick it by flashing wrong BIOS meant for mining Bitcoins thinking it would give him better performance.

Hi and thank you all for your replies,first of all i must apologize for my delay in replying to your answers.

David Bailey--- I downloaded,installed and ran Driver Max, which came back with 19 out of date drivers.

So it looks like i will be searching and downloading drivers for the next couple of days .
