No wifi adapter?

Just got a PC from my uncle. Said he hadn't turned it on in four years, It starts right up but now wifi adapter. It keeps telling me to connect a ethernet cable. I'm using a hotspot. Pls help.

Buy a USB wifi dongle. They are pretty inexpensive and work well.

Now, I'm seeing that it's an adapter in my desk manager. Will this fix the issue?

Also if I was to buy a hotspot that can connect through an ethernet cable, would I still need an ISP

Open Device Manager (devmgmt.msc), expand the Network adapters section and tell us what kind of Network adapter devices you have listed there

If you buy a hotspot, it probably comes with a monthly service fee which means the company that is providing the hotspot is your isp and internet access is provided. If there is no monthly fee, then you probably need to contract with another company for internet access, so it becomes your isp.
