No Tile Created on Start Screen When I Install a New App

Just upgraded to 8.1 this weekend.

Seemed to go well, but I'm having an odd problem.

Whenever I install a new app from the Store, it says it's installed, and I can search for it and play it, but it does NOT create a tile for the new app on my Start screen??

I can search for it, then right-click on it, and click on "Pin to Start" and it creates a tile on my Start screen, but I want it to create a new tile by default when I install an app, and it has stopped doing that!!!!

Can someone please help!?

They don't Pin to the Start Screen by default in Windows 8.1 but they should be in the sub-Start screen or All Programs Screen, whatever they're calling it now!

Hello Mike, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Unfortunately, installed apps only show up on your Apps screen by default now in Windows 8.1, and have to be "Pin to Start".
