New laptop...Updates failed.

My wireless HP printer is detected and the driver installed in the background without me having to do anything. As long as its turned on that is, even in its power save standby mode.

The App is separate from the actual printer driver install. I had an HP printer App installed in addition to the actual printer that showed up in Devices and printers. I uninstalled the App but left the printer alone. The printer I use the app I don't.

I have been looking through more of your log, and have found some more things. These may be normal, just not for my systems.

First, there is this line which included the Pre-download notify. On my two systems it shows as scheduled.

# ServiceTypeDefault: Service 117CAB2D-82B1-4B5A-A08C-4D62DBEE7782 Approval type: (Pre-download notify)

I don't see this line on my systems, but it may be just for the one specific update.

Maybe an updated WindowsUpdate.log from after the last one forward. Since the first one was taken just after you did a reset, what was being done may not have yet stabilized and gone back to the normal routine. It was still showing the same 20-26 updates being looked at.

Edit: You might check the link below and see if it makes sense to your install and the update mentioned.
