I run several mail accounts over the 8.1 mail app. Had no trouble until a recent major 8.1 update. Since then I have problems with 4 mail accounts: 2x gmail and 2x yahoo.
Under two of my gmail accounts is the text “needs attention”. If I click on these, a “connecting to server” (white) window opens, requiring email name and password – if I once again fill these in and click “sign in” - I then get told that this account already exists!
I am also unable to delete these two gmail accounts, and try setting them up again, because in: (mail app) settings, then accounts – there is no option to delete these 2 email accounts – and I am unable to get in to the accounts.
For the 2 yahoo accounts the words “check settings” are under. In this case I have to re-enter my password and the email will open, but the next time I start computer I get the same problem again!
Other gmail accounts work without any problem!
Anybody know the solution?
thanks
