My Metro apps got black screen and glitches.

Some of my Metro apps have just started to act weird.

My Email app just show a black screen.
XE currency loads forever and my Windows Store just flicker parts of the screen.
Metro shows weird search results.

Is there a fix for this?

I got an Acer 8935G so there only exists one VGA driver for this laptop. I installed it a couple of days ago and I'm suspecting this to be the cause since it wasnt like this before I installed the driver.

But I hope this is not the cause since with this laptop model, I dont have any choice when it comes to display drivers.

Hello Balleflass,

For the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670, have you already tried the latest AMD 13.1 WHQL or 13.4 BETA drivers at the AMD link below for Windows 8?

If they don't want to install in Windows 8.1, then you might see if installing them using compatibility mode with Windows 8 selected may allow them to.

I have tried other AMD/ATI/Guru3D drivers for this VGA for years, but the original driver that is bundled with the computer is the only one working.
