Last night 10 March, I downloaded and Installed all the Important and Recommended Updates. But this morning when I booted up it was SO SLOW before the main Desktop Screen came on.

Was one or more of these updates affecting boot-up speed, if so what can i do about it. Does anyone else noticed this problem or is it just me.

Many Thanks

Try this'
Click on cog top right hand corner
Internet Options, then Advanced tab.
Click on Restore Advanced Settings, OK.
Restart computer then try loading.

Many thanks for your quick response.

I believe your instruction refers to Windows Internet Explorer, I always use Firefox, so probually it will not help.
Do you want me to change to IE and try this alteration, please would you advise.

Thanks ... Bill

I had the same problem as you on IE this morning and rectified it as already stated.

I also have Firefox and suggest you try deleting any ADD ONS (if you have any,) one at a time to see if any of them are causing your problem, you can always reinstall them again afterwards.

Anyone wanting to test via install, uninstall, disable, then reinstall &/or reEnable FF add-ons [plug-ins], ie XPIs, install and run FEBE backup. It will save all your XPIs i one place. And whenever you need to -- FEBE can reinstall uninstalled XPI right from your hard-drive.,

Earlier, a poster wrote: "...I also have Firefox and suggest you try deleting any ADD ONS (if you have any,) one at a time to see if any of them are causing your problem, you can always reinstall them again afterwards..."
Firefox add-ons are mostly XPI scripts. To delete means later having to go out, hunt 'em down, reinstall the deleted add-ons. Because FEBE also keeps records of bookmarks, preferences, and all add-ons [XPI scripts] -- I figured it would be easier to do a FEBE backup, then disable and/or unistall add-ons. Anything wanted after that testing period -- FEBE can bring same back right from the hard-drive.
