Multiple disabled services/apps after Restart

my USB Wifi adapter went plain BrainDead, (it's wearing out,) and i had to restart to get it working but, this is the first time after a restart, many services are marked as "Disabled" in msconfig and my startup programs i had to manually open. and i see Maintenance is running.

i'm running Windows 8.1 Pro if that means anything from what version of 8.1 im using

is this normal on a Maintenance cycle it runs that it stops apps/services? or is this a sign my Windows 8.1 install is borked?

I too have a similar problem. Are you able to re enable those services? In my case I am not able to, I tried restoring my system and refreshing the setting but it did not work.

I don't know about him but I have tried to set the start-up to normal, then I click ok and restart the system. But when I boot up the system again and go to msconfig the settings are set back to selective start-up.

Thats a registry problem,
But did it fix your problem?, did some services as you said they where disabled started? any one or nothing changed?
