Solved Missing Time Zone

For some, heretofore unexplained reason, since the day I installed Windows 8.1 on this PC, I've had only one time zone (Pacific) and that's not the one I want.
I'd like to have the driver for the Eastern US time zone, where I live.
I've tried a web search for a solution, but everywhere I go, they just want to tell me how to change the time zone, when all the different Time Zone drivers are already ON the PC.

What I need, is to find out how to, or if I can, add the driver for the Eastern US time zone to my already running PC. ???
Any help at all, will be Greatly Appreciated!

Thank You!

Hello mate, :-)

If you haven't already, you could use the method in the tutorial below to restore all the default time zones.

Afterwards, you should be able to change your time zone.

Dang Shawn! You're the Man!
That script worked like a CHAMP!!!

You know, I'm going to archive that script, for future reference, don't you?

Adding to my problem, when I'd go into "Change Date and Time" and correct the time to be correct for my time zone, it would stay for a few seconds and then jump back to Pacific Time. Grrr! That was something new.

So out of total frustration, I did a System Restore, back about three days, and that corrected that problem. So I'm assuming that something in my registry has gotten fouled up in the last few days. Eh? But, what and how, I dunno!

Amazing, how our lives depend on our Computers keeping track of Billions, or maybe Trillions, of ones and zeros, and keeping them all in exactly the right place. And some folks ask me why I do Backups! And even run a script, to force a new Restore Point on every Boot-Up. (Thanks!)

Thanks again, and again, and again!
