I spoke to PC world today and as it turns out the pre-order I placed last month is for the upgrade edition, so I have now cancelled my order. Guess I will just wait until the 26th to see what options appear.

I just received the email notification from newegg for rating a recent purchase from one of the other vendors that sell through their site. Upon arriving after clicking the rate purchase link to their main page the banner displayed preorder now. You won't find any media however just the licence key paper.

The prices however are quite a bit lower for 8 with only the upgrade and OEM options available. Newegg.com - ppssWindows8

The OEM as always is a full install version. Note that there's nothing new with the transfer option as long as you own the new as well as old machine and wipe the first to see 8 on the new. When selling a machine however the disk would always go with the system as part of the deal since the way the OEM part of the EULA works.
