"Classic Shell," indeed! How in the world does one obtain the classic shell?

Obviously Windows 8.1 contains a plethora of desirable options unknown to me. Can you recommend documentation?

I downloaded and installed the Classic Shell -- with "administrative privileges." No problem! Thanks for the acquainting me with its availability.

Unfortunately it made no difference in attempting to install Setpoint. So I introduced this problem on the HP desktop forum, where I am assured it must be a Logitech or Windows-8.1 defect. Having seen the problem with installations other than Logitech, I doubt it's their defect, but their forum is all that remains before reformatting the hard drive.

Classic Shell does not do anything to help installing.

It just returns the Start menu & a few other tweaks.
