Loading sata drivers during setup

it is said that loading drivers during setup is only required if the setup cannot find the harddrive.

In attached readme file for the Intel Rapid Storage Technology, see section 5.1.1, it is said that preloading is required for systems configured for AHCI and RAID. I understand that AHCI is the normal case these days. So my interpretation is that preloading is always required. That is different from what is said in the tutorial.

So I am confused about that. What is the correct way?

Just ignore what is present in the intel read me file

Sata driver loading is only required only if setup can`t find HDD like you said in the first post

The readme is covering, from the first WIN XP CD with no Sata Controller drivers to Windows 8 with most Sata Controller drivers.
