Libraries duplicate outside library on remote PC

Sorry for the late reply. I missed your reply before last. :(

Please go ahead and give detailed steps on how you setup all of this on both PCs to see if I may be able to reproduce this to better help troubleshoot.

PART 1: this is for the host computer.
Here I opened HomeGroup Settings and clicked "Change what you're sharing..." and these are the settings that showed up. Right away the inconsistency seems obvious because the window underneath shows that I'm only sharing Music and Printers, but when I click to change what I'm sharing, it appears that Pictures and Videos are also enabled! Unless I dont understand, this seems like a striking inconsistency.

However, I do see a connection when I look at the following:

Notice how THIS menu reflects one of the control panel window above, but not the popup that says "Shared" under Permissions. Those settings in that popup appear completely disconnected from the rest!

PART 2: The Remote Computer (laptop).
On this one, I connected to the HomeGroup using the host password.
However I turned off ALL sharing from this remote computer. I verified this in the control panel HomeGroup AND the Windows 8 settings.
As you can see below, settings on the host seem to be overridden because I am seeing more than just the Music library.

So the problem seems twofold. Why is there an inconsistency on the host computer? And why do I see on the remote computer things from the host that have not been enabled for HomeGroup sharing?

I must admit that I'm a bit stumped by this behavior as well.

I'll ask some others to look at this as well to see if they may have any other ideas we missed.
