Been playing with system image backup in Win 8.1 Update. Macrium free also seems pretty good although it lacks a windows boot menu option.
Anyway to automate the integrated backup service in Win 8.1 u need to create a scheduled task with the command line :-
wbadmin start backup -backupTarget:x: -include:c:,d: -allCritical -quiet
where x: is the drive to backup to and c:,d: are two drives I want backed up.
Hope this helps someone somewhere, I have mine set to make an image on the second monday of each month before patch tuesday.
