I at least have the tools button at the bottom to "View on the desktop". That helps.
I have the same problem my bookmarks show up on the ie10 desktop but not on the ie10 metro... I gave up

Refreshing? You mean reinstall?
I was told by ms to reset ie 10 but it didn't work and don't want to refresh windows as the problem not worth it
