If you have Win8 RP installed and you decide to use VirtualBox, there is a chance to experience some issues.
- First of all during install: the installer seems to hang when it's almost completed. It can take up to 10 minutes to complete the install. (Win7 compatibility has no effect)
- After the install is completed, VBox works but it seems to bring some side-effects to Task Manager and the networks.
Task Manager has difficulty to refresh and display programs icons. Then it hangs when exiting.
The networks load a bit slower since the VBox host networks loads also.
If you decide to uninstall VBox, do a reboot afterwards and Task Manager should work normally again.
There are no issues discovered with VirtualBox itself but the fact that Task Manager hangs is a reason to avoid VBox until extra support is included in future releases.
I don't know if I'm the only one who has these issues but I was using VBox 4.1.18 on Win8 RP x64.
