[Help]In built Administrator account disabled

Hi,
The in-built account on my laptop has been somehow disabled and now I can't install any programs as it keeps asking for admin password even though it is disabled and I can't seem to re enable it.

Hey mate,

This is how to enable it: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorial...rator-account-enable-disable-windows-8-a.html

It is recommended that you use a regular administrative account instead of the built in one, for security. Best practice is to use the standard account and enter the administrator's password only when needed. This prevents most malware from causing more damage than it would have otherwise. See the tutorial for more info on standard account, administrator account, and built in admin account.

Sorry but I can't seem to enable admin account as I don't have enough permissions since I am using standard account as otherwise with admin account I can't acess metro apps.

Hello 8master,

Since you only have a standard account, you may need to reinstall Windows. Since this is a laptop that came with Windows preinstalled, it would be a factory recovery. :(
