I'm having to constantly connect to network

Hello, l'm running Windows 8.1 on my Thinkpad 10 20C1001DUS and I'm constantly getting disconnected from mt WiFi. I'm not getting disconnected while using my tablet, it only and mostly happens when I let it sleep for a while or shut it down and come back later. I opened event viewer but have no clue what im looking for. Help this is getting to be annoying...

The Clue you say this happen mostly after sleep or shut down, In your power Options/ Advanced options/ Wireless Adapter Setting I keep mine at Maximum performance so it won't shut off and disconnect!!

True, only other option i can see for this person, although i thought use more battery life, so up to OP.My tablet is an ASUS does not have this issue and is set to balanced in Power settings.

I believe so with mine too, see no option yet to go to maximum, have not played with it as much as i use desktop more. Maximum if you had will definitely use battery up faster. Have an ASUS VivoTab Smart.

Your telling my you don't have advance setting in your power options?
Control Panel/Power Options/Change Plan Settings/Change Advance Power settings/Wireless Adapter Settings, I think all versions of windows 8.1 have these setting?

With mine no choice change power plan using your steps, not sure about OP. Advanced Settings only option for me is Balanced (active).
Rest of options Slide Show, Power Buttons and lid, Display and battery.Thought for OP might of been Power management option in Device Manager under Network Adapter, but neither for me i see or OP. I have checked all other places even in Network and sharing. Tablet are different then laptops and desktop i assume with 8.1 unless it's due to certain model tablets..

Well i do not have another tablet to try or even a laptop. Going back to issue when it sleeps loses connection something have to look into more, mine as said does not lose connection at that time. When i first boot take almost a minute sometimes to find WiFi.

Obviously it's powering down the WiFi in sleep mode save power, as it's common to do as does with rest of tablet. Of course not ideal if downloading something, say windows updates. Speaking of updates, is there any new updates on manufacturer's website for this tablet, ever checked recently ? Look at manual for tablet ?

How long or what do you have to do again to regain WiFi, go to the charms bar ?
