Hi New guy here..lol
Apologies in advance for any improper postings
I backed up my S% phone with mobileGO
It made a .bak file of this size 23,595,536 which had all photos, contacts, sms everything on the phone.
I need to save all sms texts from my ex for court onto a flash drive and also print them off for lawyer.
I tried opening the file and cannot and accidently changed the icon of the file to notepad.
Super confused right now
Thanks for anyone willing to help

Welcome to the forum what is the phone many have OEM software that does all that Nokia does it into a database you can open in excel

Hi Thanks for the reply. I thought I had said in my post but realized that the 5 in S5 ended up a %...sorry..lol
It isasamsung S5 running kitkat 4.4.2

I live chatted a samsung person in the phillipenesand he told me NO there is no way to do it with samsung. I have spent hours trying to find an app off the play storethat works for me and none do what I want. This is ridiculous. IN 2016 we shouldnt be struggling with this stuff. I should be able to plug my phone into my laptop..go toa text folder...find that contact and drag onto a flash drive so it in in order and readable for the lawyer.

Hi Thanks
I used it last night and ya its good and put all texts into a label in gmail BUT I still dont know how to get them from gmail onto my flashdrive in a readable format in order for my lawyer?

One way that may be of more use for Legal purposes - If you send the SMS messages to a newly created calendar , rather than gMail, you can forward the calendar, or part of it, to the lawyer which will provide date and contents in a format that can be read by a lot of different systems ( iCal format )- Or printed to PDF

Thanks for the link. The FJ software is only for lollipop, windows 10 and sony errikson phones it said. None of that applies to me
I have windows 8.1
Samsung S5 w kitkat 4.4.2
This is ridiculous that in 2016 this is such a struggle to drag and drop texts from a specific person to a flash drive or to a hard drive so that they are readable easily.
Unbelievable

I dont understand your suggestion on thenewly created calendar and wouldnt even know where to start?

My Phone explorer works with any Android phone, and Older Sony Eriksson phones on all modern Windows OS

The headline "Works With ... " shows the latest versions - AFAIK it backwards compatible with earlier versions, I have been using it for a while as it allows me to run my phone from my PC. It started out as a Sony Eriksson only application years ago then added Android at around version 2

Im sorry I dont understand what you are trying to explain I just want to cpoy my texts to a flash drive so thet can be opened and read
