How to Create or Download a Windows 8 and 8.1 ISO Question

I have a laptop that the password will not work. It worked one time and I got in. This thing is wacked. Has 4 optimizer programs and other junk. Now I can't get in.

I was thinking if I downloaded 8 iso from here How to Create or Download a Windows 8 and 8.1 ISO using option 1 could I use it to get to a refresh? If so, this would put the laptop back to out of box condition, right? Then, I could do the updates and eventually get the 8.1 update, right?

I tried to download on my Vista PC and it said something about using 7. I have a laptop with 7. Can I download to it, burn the iso, and boot from it in the laptop with 8?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am just now learning about 8. I have read a lot about this, but wanted to get input from those who know.

Well, I found a way. Shift key + Restart to get to advance start up option. Then did a one key recovery. Set new password along with some other options and all is well. It now is out of box condition. Will do updates until I get 8.1.

Still a little confused about the questions in my first post. I will do more reading, but if you know the answers, I would love to know if my thought process is right or wrong.

or you could just install windows 8.1

that way you can forget all that un-needed downloading just to get back to 8.1

I had a thought and need input. I have a desktop the meets the rewquirements for 8. Is it possible to download and install 8 or 8.1 on it temporarily, even though I do not have a product key, so I can get hands on about doing it? What I want to do is install it then wipe it. Do not intend to leave it on there since that would be wrong.
