how to choose video thumbnail size in windows explorer?

I don't mind if the thumbnails are square or rectangle, I'd just like them all to be the same as each other. Is there a way I can force the size of the video thumbnails to be the same?

I don't think so, no.

The thumbnails are a single frame of the video, therefore they always of the same ratio as the video file.

This way you can see the aspect ratio of the video file, without having to right-click and check the details of each file.

It's "what you see is what you get".
