Solved How to check if i install correctly update 1 from win 8.1

Hi i want to ask you how to check if i update the windows 8.1 update 1 from x64 bits systems because i download all packages from microsoft download center and install in that order and dont recive error. Every package ask me to reestart i see all packages are installed on update history and on the section installed updates but i dont see nothing related to windows 8.1 update 1 as the way as see when you install from win update. I check for updates and dont find nothing. I have my service packs and mayor updates on my pc stored because in this house (your house ) all use win 8.1 x64 and we have a slow conection and because i install by this way. I must say you i see all caracteristics of the update 1 but i want to know if dont have errors i ran dism online clean up image restore health (sorry for the / i worte well on cmd) and sfc scannow and dont find errors. I only am worried because if this update was not installed properly the suports ends on may 13 and want to have install by the rigth way.

Thats are the packages and the order of i install

KB2919442, KB2919355, KB2932046, KB2959977, KB2937592, KB2938439 y KB2934018.

I must say you i see that a very useful forum and i found too many answers to my problems hope you can help me


when i execute the Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth (fastest cmd i know i see my bulid are)

6.3.9600.17031

I am running Win 8.1. Update 1 Pro. DISM still reports my image version as 17031 but my BuildLabEx registry entry is 17041. This is correct to the best of my knowledge. You can verify this by opening regedit and searching for BuildLabEx to verify your own. If yours is different, please post the discrepancy so someone with Win 8.1. Update 1 (non-Pro) can verify your entry is correct.

How can i i open REGEDIT and go to edit search and type BuildLabEx and REGEDIT dont find nothing can you tell me the exact string?

I dont understand this my english are no good you confirm my update was well done or not or are asking about your own update?

@atkiff: Your update is correct. The other OP is asking about his/her own situation; however, the information he/she provided is inadequate to make any determination. This new OP should not have added on to your already completed thread IMHO; however, if he/she does what you did (following my instructions already available in this thread), he/she will know for sure as well.

I read somewhere about 17031 being the Hardware Abstraction Layer version and 17041 being the Kernel upgrade, which makes sense. I took that at face value!
