That's because it's in the WinSxS protected system folder. You don't want to mess with it.

Did you already try disabling both Homegroup services that I posted earlier and restarting the PC afterwards?

when I went into this PC there was no homegroup listener. I did find the other one, do I just delete it and see what happens?
sorry it took so long to reply, been laid up sick, then had to recover from the surgery.

They should be listed in Services to stop and disable.

ok, I did get to the listener and provider and disable them.

I do apologize for not getting back as fast as I used to. still recovering from throat surgery. dr. thought I had cancer, but

the lab test showed no cancer. got lucky.

Did that get rid of Homegroup for you now?
