Great news ... now that you have properly reset you router, you will now need to properly reconfigure your security settings. Your encryption protection...WEP, WPA, WPA2 which is the preferred, change your webpage logon name and password for the router and turn off your SSID broadcast signal. If I knew what make and model router you have I can give you a link to show you exactly how to do that. Or youtube has some excellent videos that shows how its done.

WOW HP is lazy not only does the PC not come with a recovery disc anymore but they no longer provide a serial number on the bottom of the PC.

I went to the link and it scanned my computer and it told me they could not identify my computer. I just got this last week because the one I got fr Christmas within a month died.

You can usually find the model number someplace on the HP and use that instead of the identifier.

I know all that. My point is it is not on my new Laptop. It use to be underneath the laptop now it is not. So that is the issues.
