Just like the title says, when I'm in the control panel I clicked on the Turn Windows Features on and off. A pop up menu comes up but it's blank. It used to have a list of items with a check box next to them. I searched the internet and can't come up with anything. I waited a while for the menu to pop but no list came up after a half hour. Any idea guys?

You might see if using the Microsoft KB article below for Vista and Windows for this same issue will work for you in Windows 8 as well. The steps are the same in Windows 8, and should still apply.
You receive error code "0x80073712" or the "Windows Features" dialog box is empty when you try to install updates or components in Windows 7 or in Windows Vista

You might see if you may be able to do the system restore at boot instead.

Hello So-Hacked, check on this first - navigate to Control Panel/Admin Tools/Services and scroll down to Windows Module Installer. Ensure that this is set to Automatic and start it up if it's disabled. You will need to reboot before the windows features menu comes up.
