HELP! I need somebody HELP!

Did you check to see if Windows installed NVIDIA's drivers onto your system? There is a difference between Windows 8's stock video driver for NVIDIA cards and drivers from NVIDIA. They seem to be come and screw things up.

Well, it seems like a hardware problem of some sort.

Make sure it's not overheating. Are you overclocking at all? If so, don't. Try re-seating the memory (take it out and put it back in). Check all your connections. If you can get a UPS, even if you just borrow it for a bit, run it on a UPS.

Are there any specific programs that this tends to happen on?

yup, its definately the latest nvidia driver
I'd go and uninstall it, restart, and let Windows use its default driver. Or try rolling back the driver.

And oh shoot, this is correct, we haven't mentioned or discussed hardware overheating issues! That's something to make sure about, check the CPU heatsink for dust build up and all around the case.

Liquid cooling? You don't know? That's usually something an enthusiast would do, and they would know how it works quite well.

Typically, liquid cooling is used when overclocking. So it sounds like your system is configured to run beyond it's normal specifications.

Thats a nice system what i see doing a Google search for the Model. I would read through the Event viewer and look for issues and if you have it to sleep or hibernate I would set it to stay on all the time just to see if that solves the issues, plus if it is water cooled like it shows in the specs make sure it is not overheating like others have suggested. When it freezes what do you have to do to get it to restart. Does Ctrl-Alt-Delete get you anywhere. When you go to surf the web is the system asleep or hibernating beforehand and then you wake it up surf and it freezes up. I would unplug anything that is USB plugged in you are not using at the time a client of mine had a portable sd card reader plugged in one time and it was giving his system a problem.

Apologies if this is totally the wrong track, but I just came across this link describing possible issues with Intel chipsets which mean that the SATA ports "Degrade over time".

Maybe worth checking if your computer might be affected?
Intel link:
Intel® 6 Series Chipset — Chipset circuit design issue identified

This one seemed a good explanation too; it's on the Acer site but looks like the issue affects more than just Acers so I think the description of the problem would be valid.

That problem was identified shortly after the chipset was released, and Intel did a recall of the chips. Nothing that has shipped in almost two years has this problem. Few systems were sold that had the problem, and most vendors had recalls to fix them. It's highly unlikely that you will run into this problem.

My laptop does that near exact same scenario with the intel 3000 graphics driver. Boots super fast for awhile then suddenly talks longer to start to paint the stop/login screen. If I don't reinstall the driver, eventually windows will take longer and longer and then forever to load that driver. Seems to be a conflict with something. It leaves 4101 event id's when happening. Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

I am afraid to say this but it looks like a interment hardware problem (Mother board, Memory,CPU, Graphics card or power supply) replacing one at a time is the only way to elimate.
