Hi there
Has something changed on the Forum or is it the browser (using IE11 on a test Windows 8.1 Enterprise machine).

The colours around the posters name as shown aren't very nice.

Also after Editing a Post and saving it I can't get back to the Forum menu without exiting the Forum COMPLETELY. Notice this only happens AFTER EDITING a POST and saving it. screenshot 2. It doesn't always happen but happens quite a lot !!! The upward scroll to the Forum menu isn't working in these cases.

If you use the BACK button after editing AND SAVING you get back into the edit screen. I know the Forum software is usually pretty good but there's definitely something hosed up here with Navigation - whether it's IE11 or Forum is totally outside my experience. Doesn't always happen but happens enough to be irritating.

Windows 8.1 enterprise and IE11 not really possible to use

Hi there
I've reported elsewhere on bugs and quirks I've had with testing Windows 8.1 and IE11.

Now I HAVE to use IE so please don't suggest other browsers.

I have to say while in general I'm reasonably impressed with Windows 8.1 Enterprise the flaws with IE11 just make me now NOT recommend people use it in any productive use whatsoever unless they aren't using the internet.

So I've backed up my installation and am reverting back to the Windows 8 system I had on this machine.

I think Ms should really have got all the bugs out of IE11 before integrating it into what is definitely an OS with promise --especially BOOT directly to desktop.
So I'll wait perhaps for a later build before continuing.

For anybody interested my build was W8.1 Enterprise x-64 build 9431.

(Finally after 3 days testing -- back to some REAL work -- why do a lot of the I.T guys always ask me to do testing for them -- perhaps they know I can always BREAK things when everybody else thinks it's 100% ok and ready for roll out !!!! -- Should up my hourly rate !!).

Cheers

I also reverted back to Win8 after issues with IE 11. Major issue was it sometimes would not properly display images on news sites like Yahoo, MSN, and Google News. However, it did seem the Flash feature was slightly more clear than IE 10 when viewing stream video.

Edit: The real "bummer" (from what I have read at this time) is that IE 10 and 11 are not interchangeable between Win 8 and Win 8.1.

It's a definite talent to be able to break things when testing - don't knock it.
