Flash Drive Can't Format - RAW FS

Hi W8F! Good day. I have a problem regarding my 2 USB Flash drives, 4GB and 16GB. I can't format them and I notice it;s FS is RAW, not FAT / NTFS.

Tried CMD, Disk Management and softwares (EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard and Hard Disk Low Level Format Tool) but no to avail.

Please help me, I don't care the files inside it. I just need it to be usable. Thanks!

did you try this?

Open up Commmand Prompt in Admin mode.. (right click the CMD and open as Admin..)

then

1.type diskpart..

2. type List disk

3. type list volume

4. type select volume (whatever correct usb # shown)

5. type list disk (and look)

make sure you are on correct selected usb disk

6. then type clean

If all this still doesn't work, Private message me and we will team viewer and I will personally beat the crap out of that USB for you in front of your screen either by diskpart or low-level programs..

and you if you still have the read only error we will just try to run this in DiskPart again..:


Type in ATTRIBUTES DISK, and Diskpart will tell you what you want to know about your flash drive. Most important is the first line Current Read-only State: Yes. This lets us know that, indeed, the flash drive is write protected. To remove the write protection with Diskpart, type the command ATTRIBUTES DISK CLEAR READONLY. If it works, that will be confirmed by the line Disk attributes cleared successfully.

then try Gparted.. but make sure you read up on how to use it correctly!!

No, it doesn't have have a switch. My drive manufacturer are the following:

• CDR KING
• Lexar® JumpDrive® S50 USB Flash Drive | Lexar

No other way to solve the issue? I've lost my hope w/ this 2 drive. flash drive are expensive here and I'm just a student w/o income.

Ha sounds like a mess.. By the way, I would have tried Rufus after getting it to say "read only no" with attrib commands

I've seen that error you've got on diskmanagement before

I think Rufus finally got it to work for me but wanna try team viewer??

is that usb stick bad? did you put it by any magnets by any chance?

can you also boot to safe mode with command prompt and then try the diskpart clean commands again?

have you run Eset on your computer and drives?

i'll try in safe mode later. got to go to school. hehe.

i hate eset hehe. a few years ago it ruins my my drive and i dont want that to happen again.

This eset is an online-only scan.. it won't ruin your system..

besides, you can even uncheck the "remove found threats" and then it won't even touch your system it will just scan and tell you what it found only..
