This is bad...really bad. I need to extract a .exe file for a game that i play. I already ruled out all the antiviruses on here. They didn't do it... The file just vanishes for no reason at all as if deleted. I also ruled out the theory that it is all exe files. I managed to extract and use the first one i extracted...the second one however is the most important part. I don't know whats happening but it needs to stop. My computer did not react this way to the exe files but my computer is down so that doesn't matter right now.Anything i can do to resolve this?

Cracked software gets flagged by antivirus programs. They will automatically delete the files, usually before they're even actually written to the disk.
Some antivirus programs can be configured to prompt before taking action like.
Otherwise you can set a special excluded folder into which you can extract the software, then you don't have disable your anti-virus outright. (in case that was the route you took)

I already tried this and unfortunately mcafee is an exception. It will basically only let me have PUP items that it takes.
It registered as a Trojan so the chances of me getting it are extremely slim since Mcafee isn't the "Shut up and let me
have this" type of program which really bugs the snot outta me.
It's sad too how anti-virus companies tout constantly about how they want to protect their users, yet flag harmless software as under their most severe classifications of malware. Whether the software is cracked or not, it should be none of the business of a company that has nothing to do with the licensing contracts that said cracks are breeching.
It really does more harm than good. People are going to download cracked software so long as cracked software exists. It's the only way to truly find out if some music software is worth $2000 or not.
Yet they still do it, diluting the real viruses, and forcing people to constantly turn off their antivirus or make overly lenient exclusion policies. Then when the real viruses sneak past the antivirus, people quickly loose faith. No wonder it's a dying industry, with cut-throat competition. Antivirus companies are digging their own graves.

Maybe it's time to switch security? I recommend both Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Trend Micro Internet Security.

There are plenty of good security software packages to recommend. The list is long, but Mcafee isn't on it.
