Hi everybody, I am running win 8.1 and used the Facebook app for a while the I stopped using it. When I tried to login again after a while I can't login and it shows me an error !!! What should I do ? Thanks

Can you uninstall it, then install from the store again?

If it doesn't work past that, you may have to contact the manufacturer of the app

Restart the computer. Ensure you can log in to facebook via the web browser.
If the app requires additional permissions in order to access it from facebook, you'll need to set those.
In other words:
If you've made no setting changes in facebook AND you previously had access to facebook via the app, this should not apply to you.
However, if you've never had access to facebook via the app, or you've potentially changed a facebook setting further protecting your account, or limiting access to it, then the likely explanation would be a facebook setting restricting access.
Sometimes you have to approve an app to access facebook, but usually the app does that by itself after you enter in the credentials. I thought there was a section to allow access from windows phone, or iPhone, etc. somewhere in there.
Other than that, I just don't know

Not sure if this will work
log into facebook in your browser
go to settings
go to security settings
look under trusted browsers, here you should see 'Facebook for Windows', remove these then try again
when you try again it should think you haven't used the app before and ask you to authorise it

I uninstalled the App then cleared the store cache, deleted the left-over files for the App (C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Facebook) then reinstalled it and it worked ^_^
